EAVC Joins Rustlers

EAVC will join with Lloydminster Rustlers Club volleyball program. Tryouts are being scheduled for November 25th in Lloydminster. If you have volleyball talent to showcase and a drive to play volleyball please come out and show us what you've got! Practices locations are subject to discussion. As EAVC has been organized south of Lloyd, the intent is to still accommodate the talent in both regions. At this stage, the tryout is for females ages ranging from grade 7 to 12. Times to be announced!

2013 club season

Athletes continue to express an interest for club volleyball in our east central region near Provost Alberta. EAVC has been a club generating momentum over the past 4 seasons. Athletes and parents have been expressing their interest in playing for EAVC this season. We have seen some interest at a variety of ages, genders and locations. There are some challenges that EAVC is facing with the season quickly approaching. Firstly, I, Todd Cheram, have transferred jobs which is creating some conflict for my commitment to be in front of teams on a full time basis. In the past I have been available to run one and some times two teams. I am currently seeing travel as a variable in work and the additional component of being on call to travel through out Alberta, makes me hesitant in saying "I can make it". Secondly, I am excited to say my wife and I are expecting a second child in the new year and this will make a busy life even busier. With these challenges I resort to a few options. Recruitment! Coaches needed! For EAVC to Continue to foster an environment of achieving excellence, we need experienced proven coaches to take the lead. I will provide support and maybe even an assistant coach role. The coaches focus must align with the mission of EAVC. Coaches need to step forward and submit a coaching philosophy and outline of credential and experiences to my email todd_cheram@hotmail.com A second option, which has been in discussion, would be to combine resources with the Lloydminister Rustlers. By doing so we create some great opportunities as well as some added challenges of travel; between the provost area and Lloyd in both directions. Ie. Some practices in Provost some in Lloyd or 16u in Lloyd and 14u in Provost, there are many possibilities. By combining we can match athletes to their ages and abilities more accurately, as a result the club generates more competitive strength. I am very open to ideas. PLease send me an email if you'd like to offer some input. I am saddened to step back, however, I want to keep my vision of what EAVC can offer, alive.
